I have a problem in excel again, i cannot make any hanges on my files.
and i notice on the title bar there is a "[Shared]" word next to the filename.
After mulitple searching on google i found out that my excel file is shared to multiple users since my computer have many user account.
and if an Excel workbook is shared, certain changes are prohibited.
To make any necessary changes to that workbook, we should unshare the Excel workbook.
Here is the procedure to Unshare the Excel Workbook
1. Open the file you want to unshare
2. Goto "Share Workbook"
- For version 2003 or earlier
* Tools -> Share Workbook
- For version 2007 or higher
* Review Tab -> ShareWorkbook
3. Uncheck the "Allow changes by more than one user at the same time..."
4. A pop-up window will appear confirming that you are sure.Just click "YES"
NOTE: If the "Allow change by more than one user...." checkbox is disable, you should UNPROTECT first the workbook before Unsharing.
