Cherry Mobile S100 Cannot Detect Sim Fixed


I did hard reset of my phone, then after that i noticed that my sim card was not detected,
on the phone status it shows "Serial No. = ERROR, EMEI1 = UNKNOWN, EME12 = UNKNOW.

But thanks jamezon3_18 of http://www.symbianize.com I was able to bring back my phone to normal.

Here's the step i did:

  1. Download Drivers
  2. Download EMMC Download
  3. Download this file BAK.qcn
  4. Connect your phone to you computer
  5. On USB debugging, select "Charging Only"
  6. on your PC, open device manager (you can see a Yellow Question Mark for Android)
  7. Right-click, then update driver, browse "..\drivers\USB Modem Driver\Win32", w8 until it finished. (you may skip this step if the driver is already updated.)
  8. Open EMMC_DownLoad_V1.2.4.exe
  9. Click Restore_NV
  10. Browse the BAK.qcn
  11. Click "Open"
  12. Your phone will automatically turn off
  13. Turn on your phone and BINGO!..


Conclusion:
Before doing anything like factory resetting, updating firmware etc. you must backup first the NV using EMMC Download.
